The Swiss international is reportedly available for just £12m and could be a vital signing for the Irons.

Mesut Ozil of Arsenal moves away from Xherdan Shaqiri during the Premier League match between Stoke City and Arsenal at Bet365 Stadium on August 19, 2017 in Stoke on Trent, England.

With Stoke City officially relegated, their star man Xherdan Shaqiri looks to be on his way out. According to reports from Swiss paper Blick, the Swiss international has a release clause of just £12 million and Everton appear to be leading the pack for his signature.

Shaqiri, 26, joined Stoke from Inter Milan for £15.3 million back in August 2015. The midfielder spent six months with the Italian side after signing for £13.5 million from Bayern Munich in January 2015.. After just one month, Shaqiri left Inter and came to the Premier League.

West Ham have struggled this season and under-fire manager David Moyes looks to be on his last legs. However, after Marko Arnautovic’s successful transfer from Stoke to West Ham last summer, which has seen the Austrian forward score 10 and assist five in the league this season, West Ham may turn again to Stoke this summer.

Xherdan Shaqiri has scored eight times and assisted a further six this season. Without his contributions, Stoke would have dropped 11 points this season and the club would not have stayed in the survival battle for nearly as long as they did.

Extremely talented in the art of dribbling, great vision for passing and a rocket shot on him, Xherdan Shaqiri could be just what West Ham need to really climb up the table next season.
