With rumours circulating that a Gareth Bale return could be in the works, Tottenham Hotspur icon Graham Roberts reacted.

The latest reports from Spanish magazine Don Balon are suggesting that Gareth Bale is edging closer to a Real Madrid exit and he could be on the verge of a Premier League return.
Don Balon have boldly claimed that Bale has already agreed a deal to return to Tottenham Hotspur. Gareth Bale signed for Madrid from Spurs back in 2013. After five years with Los Blancos, Bale has become a core part of the team and has impressed with brilliant performances every season.
This campaign, Bale has scored 18 times in 36 games in all competitions, assisting a further four. He has suffered a number of minor injury problems, including a string of issues in 2017 which saw him miss 24 games for Madrid that year.
When asked to comment on the rumours, Tottenham legend Graham Roberts had this to say:
Although by no means a confirmation of the rumours, Roberts is right. In this current market, anything can happen and we could be about to see Tottenham make a signing that allows them to truly challenge for the Premier League for years to come.
