Mark Warburton’s Glasgow Rangers will face Old Firm rivals Celtic in the Scottish League Cup on Sunday.

Celtic defender Erik Sviatchenko has told The Daily Record that the fans should not expect anther 5-1 win when the Bhoys face Rangers this weekend.
Brendan Rodgers’s side will take on Old Firm rivals Rangers at Hampden Park in Glasgow in the semi-finals of the Scottish League Cup on Sunday afternoon.
The Hoops have faced Mark Warburton’s side already this season, hammering them 5-1 at Celtic Park in the Scottish Premiership last month.

Celtic will head into Sunday’s game against the Gers as favourites, but defender Sviatchenko has stated that the fans should not expect another 5-1 win.
The 25-year-old Denmark international centre-back, though, has said that the Celtic players will do all they can to win the tie.

“When we are at our best, when we are intense and push high on our opponents then every side we face will have a problem,” Sviatchenko told The Daily Record. “That will be among our plans for this match.
“I wouldn’t say our fans should expect another 5-1 but they should expect a team that will do everything they can to be the best we can.”
Celtic will head into the match against Rangers on the back of a 2-0 defeat to Borussia Monchengladbach at Celtic Park in Champions League Group C.
The Glasgow giants got the better of Motherwell 2-0 at Celtic Park in the Scottish Premiership last weekend.
The Hoops are at the top of the league table at the moment with 22 points from eight matches.
