Stuttgart sporting director Sven Mislintat has told Suedduetsche that there is indeed English interest in Nicolas Gonzalez.
The former Arsenal man is attempting to build the Stuttgart side for a return to the Bundesliga, having finished second in the 2. Bundesliga.
Gregor Kobel and Waldemar Anton have arrived, but there could be a big departure on the horizon too in Gonzalez.
The 22-year-old striker was a major coup when he joined from Argentinos Juniors in 2018, and he impressed this term with 15 goals in 28 games.
Gonzalez is a top target for Leeds United according to Ole back in Argentina, with Marcelo Bielsa seeking another striker.
He will no doubt know plenty about compatriot Gonzalez, who is quick and skilful whilst also having the ability to play out wide.

Now, Mislintat has confirmed that there is English interest in Gonzalez, which points towards Leeds being the mystery side.
Italian and German clubs are keen too, but Mislintat says there hasn’t been a specific approach just yet, even with that mounting interest.
“I see serious interest coming from both Italy and England, as well as from a club in Germany,” said Mislintat. “But there has not yet been a specific request,” he added.
