Brendan Rodgers’s Celtic signed Charly Musonda on loan from Chelsea in the January transfer window.

Musonda joined Scottish Premiership club Celtic on an 18-month loan deal from Premier League side Chelsea in the January transfer window.
Much was expected of the 21-year-old when he arrived at Celtic Park, but the Belgium Under-21 international has failed to make a massive impact so far.
The youngster, who can operate as an attacking midfielder or as a winger, has been able to make only four appearances in the Scottish Premiership for the Hoops so far following his January loan switch, according to Transfermarkt.co.uk.

Former Celtic striker Sutton has suggested that Musonda would benefit should 25-year-old Australia international attacking midfielder Rogic – who earns £15,000 per week as salary according to Th Daily Star – leave the Glasgow giants in the summer transfer window.
Sutton told Football.London: “There are some question marks over the likes of Tom Rogic, who’s playing in the World Cup this summer, that would maybe open up a position for Musonda.”

Fighting for a spot
Musonda, who earns £520,000 per year as salary according to Spotrac.com, is a very good and promising young player, and the Chelsea-owned youngster is struggling to establish himself in the Celtic first team.
However, one must not forget that the 21-year-old was signed on an 18-month loan deal, and it was always going to be a gradual and patient process for him to making an impact at Celtic.
