Glasgow Rangers striker Alfredo Morelos has been linked away with moves from Ibrox on transfer deadline day.

Rangers have turned down an improved offer from Beijing Renhe for Ibrox striker Alfredo Morelos, according to Sky Sports (Transfer live blog, 10:24, Wednesday, January 31, 2018).

It has been reported that the Chinese Super League club have made an offer of £8 million, but Scottish Premiership side Rangers are claimed to have turned it down.

Morelos is one of the best strikers in the Scottish Premiership and has been in good form for the Gers this season.

Alfredo Morelos of Rangers is seen prior to the Betfred League Cup Quarter Final at Firhill Stadium on September 19, 2017 in Glasgow, Scotland.

The 21-year-old Colombian is the first-choice striker at Rangers at the moment, and given the way he is playing and scoring goals at the moment, one should be surprised that other clubs are (reportedly) interested in him.

Is Morelos worth £8m, though? After all, Rangers paid just £1m to HJK Helsinki in the summer of 2017 in order to secure the services of the former Colombia Under-20 international, according to The Daily Record.

Former Celtic striker Chris Sutton seems to have suggested on social networking site Twitter that Morelos is worth more than £8m.
