Caixinha’s Rangers were held to a 1-1 draw by Kilmarnock at Ibrox on Wednesday.

Chris Sutton has reacted, somewhat predictably, to reports of a board meeting taking place at Ibrox, with Pedro Caixinha’s future as manager of Rangers increasingly uncertain.
Rangers followed up Sunday’s 2-0 League Cup semi-final defeat against Motherwell with a 1-1 draw at home to Kilmarnock, despite missing a penalty while 1-0 up in second-half added time.
The result leaves Rangers fourth in the Premiership standings, despite a heavy summer recruitment drive which saw 11 players added to last season’s third-placed team – at a cost of almost £9 million.

And Sutton, the former Celtic striker and long-term Caixinha critic, was concise in his assessment of Thursday’s development.
“Board meeting at Rangers today..I wouldn’t have thought it will take long…” he posted on Twitter.
Many Rangers fans have called for Caixinha to leave after a disappointing start to the season, in which they were also knocked out of the Europa League at the very first hurdle by Luxemburg side Progres Niederkorn.
And some bookmakers, including Paddy Power, are already taking bets on Rangers’ next manager, with Kenny Miller, the veteran striker exiled by Caixinha earlier this autumn, the surprise favourite.
