Chris Sutton has taken to Twitter to post a five-word reply to Darrell Curie’s tweet about Celtic’s out-on-loan Boli Bolingoli.

After watching the Belgian take on Manchester United last night, presenter and broadcaster Curie tweeted: ‘Bolingoli went to Spain. His punishment – off to Turkey to play in the Champions League, where he’s just helped Basaksehir beat Man Utd. Bolin-glory.’

In response to his tweet, Sutton wrote ‘this is funny for you’ while also adding a laughing emoji.

What Bolingoli did was no laughing matter, but from a human aspect, it’s good to see him enjoying some memorable experiences on loan at İstanbul Başakşehir.

As the Daily Record explain, the 25-year-old inexplicably travelled to Spain and back, without telling anyone or quarantining upon his return.

He was then selected to face Kilmarnock, but after the truth came out, Bolingoli was given a three-match ban while the SPFL investigated Celtic over the incident.

That breach of protocol saw him loaned out to Turkey, where he enjoyed arguably one of the finest achievements of his career last night.

WhoScored shows he made two tackles, one interception and one clearance against Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s men.

Bolingoli also had one shot, and made a key pass against the Red Devils.

What he did was terribly unprofessional, but at least he’s gaining some experience in the Champions League and preserving his value, instead of being left to rot on the sidelines.
