Chris Sutton has named five Celtic players in his Scottish Premiership Team of the Week following their stunning win over Rangers on Sunday, but there are several Hoops fans who are disappointed that it is not six of their players in the lineup.
The Bhoys quashed any talk of title race in the top flight as they came from behind twice to beat Graeme Murty’s men 3-2 at Ibrox which means that Brendan Rodgers’ remarkable record against Celtic’s bitter rivals continues.

It was a victory that was made all the more impressive by the fact that Celtic had to play most of the second-half with 10 men after Jozo Simunovic was sent off for an elbow aimed at Alfredo Morelos.
Unsurprisingly, there was one player from Celtic’s backline that made it into Sutton’s Team of the Week. Scott Bain was excellent in the victory, making a couple of brilliant saves and not giving off any impression that he was making his debut for Celtic in the game. He bailed the defence out on a couple of occasions, so his inclusion is not surprising.

Meanwhile, the brilliant midfield performances of Oliver Ntcham, Scott Brown and Tom Rogic are also recognised. Rogic scored Celtic’s first equaliser with a stunning strike, but Brown and Ntcham were so good in the middle of the park, especially when they lost Simunovic.
And up front, Sutton has decided to hand Odsonne Edouard the call-up. Edouard scored a brilliant winner just a couple of minutes after coming on after being set up by Moussa Dembele.
Dembele was exceptional at Ibrox, scoring Celtic’s second and setting up the winner. But Sutton has selected St Johnstone’s Chris Kane alongside Edouard. And that has prompted plenty of reaction from the Celtic fans…
