Celtic attacker Gary Mackay-Steven came close to scoring a winner against Manchester City.
Former Celtic striker Chris Sutton bemoaned a missed chance by Gary Mackay-Steven as the club drew with Manchester City.
Celtic were already eliminated from the competition without winning a game, although came close against City once again last night.

The match ended in a 1-1 draw with City loanee Patrick Roberts on the scoresheet for Celtic, before Kelechi Iheanacho replied for the home team.
Celtic could have won the game, with Gary Mackay-Steven’s second half effort denied by Willy Caballero when he was put through on goal.
Before he took his shot, Mackay-Steven had a little glance across the goal to see if he could square it, and Sutton argues this hesitation was both costly and a sign of a lack of belief.
He told BT Sport: “I don’t know why he looked across. He lacks courage in that situation. It was a big miss.”

Sutton had earlier praised the performance and goal from Patrick Roberts, commenting: “Celtic deserved to win this game. It’s absolutely terrific from Patrick Roberts.”
Celtic finished bottom of their Champion League group, losing three games and drawing three, and while they would have loved to sign out with a win, their performances against Manchester City have salvaged the campaign somewhat.
City failed to beat them in two matches and in the process Celtic have showed that football north of the border is not so far behind as many in England like to make out.
