Former Leeds star is thrilled to be recognised for his efforts at the club.
Former Leeds United midfielder Olivier Dacourt has admitted his surprise and honour at having his past efforts for the club recognised with a new banner.
As part of the re-decoration of Elland Road by new owner Andrea Radrizzani, Dacourt was included on a poster of ‘famous number fours’ to wear the famous white shirt.

Dacourt was included on the poster along with David Batty, Vinnie Jones, and Billy Bremner.
The image was shared to Dacourt on social media, with one fan asking when he will be coming to Elland Road personally to see it for himself.
The Frenchman responded admitting he was taken aback by his inclusion, and promised he would ‘soon’ pay a visit to his former stomping ground.
Dacourt played for Leeds between 2000 and 2003, and played a key role in the team reaching the Champions League semi-finals in his first season at the club.
He played 21 times for France at international level before retiring from the game in 2010.
