Manchester City midfielder, Phil Foden, has shared on Sky Sports News that his fellow England players ‘liked’ his new ‘Gazza’ style haircut for Euro 2020.

The boyhood Manchester City fan has opted to sport a blonde look ahead of Euro 2020, and understandably, people have compared it to Paul Gascoigne’s look for Euro 96, which was also played on home soil.

Foden is expected to be one of England’s star players if they are to produce the goods in the tournament and he certainly has the technical quality to light up the Wembley stage like Gascoigne used to do.

Foden shared how he was also compared to US rap star Eminem, as well as Gazza, following his new look and how his fellow teammates reacted.

“I woke up this morning to a lot of comparisons to Gazza and Eminem,” said Foden.

“They (the players) say that they liked it, so it’s a positive thing, it’s all been positive, which I am surprised about.”

If Foden can produce the magic, like Gazza did against Scotland in 96, then it will be even more special.

England’s second game of their group game is against the old enemy at Wembley and Foden will be lacing up his boots to produce the magic he showcases on a weekly basis in the Premier League.

But he’s not the only one with creative talent at his feet because Aston Villa’s Jack Grealish, whose style of play has been likened to Gazza’s, will also be hoping to earn the minutes that allow him to put opposition players on their backside.
