Liverpool fans on Twitter are seemingly frustrated at the news surrounding Thiago Alcantara ahead of their clash against Newcastle tonight.
The Premier League champions will travel down to the North East tonight, but it seems as though they will be without their hardly-seen technician, according to Jurgen Klopp.
In the summer, Thiago arrived on Merseyside as a European champion after the Liverpool supporters watched him be the conductor in Bayern Munich’s aggressive and high-pressing midfield.
But he hasn’t been able to showcase his skills as much as he would have liked in Liverpool’s workman-like midfield as injuries and a potential return continue to eat away at his game time.
Whilst Liverpool don’t need their £192k-a-week star [Spotrac] against Newcastle given the gulf in quality between the two, the fans just want to see him in action.
It will be interesting to see who Klopp selects in his midfield tonight, as the Liverpool supporters want some drive injected into the team and would like to see the likes of Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain starting.
Either way, the wait goes on for Thiago, as the Liverpool supporters need to see the positive in that he will feel like a new signing when he does get back on the pitch.
