Liverpool are out of the Champions League after drawing 0-0 with Real Madrid on Wednesday night.
The Reds needed a big turnaround after losing the first leg in Spain 3-1, and they created a host of chances at Anfield.
They couldn’t take any of them though, and Real are through to the last four of the Champions League, where they will meet Chelsea.
Liverpool were left frustrated as they just couldn’t break Real down, and Nacho turned in an inspired performance in the heart of defence.
The 31-year-old was the leader of the Real defence in the absence of both Sergio Ramos and Raphael Varane, and he was statistically outstanding.
Nacho racked up a huge 11 clearances, the most of any player on the pitch, whilst also recording four successful aerial duels and three interceptions.

What’s interesting is that Liverpool are allegedly keen on signing Nacho, with AS reporting last month that the Reds have been eyeing him to bolster their defensive options.
Nacho certainly excelled at Anfield right in front of Jurgen Klopp, and whilst Real will be keen to keep him, few could blame the Reds for moving after this kind of display.
