Everton’s season lurched to another low on Sunday, as they were hammered 4-1 away at Southampton – just days after losing 5-1 to Atalanta.

The Toffees were already reeling from Thursday’s defeat before heading to the South Coast, and they fell behind early as Ryan Bertrand picked out Dusan Tadic for the opening goal.

West Ham fans took to Twitter during and after Everton’s performance against Southampton, suggesting that they are there for the taking and a shambles defensively, giving fans hope of a positive result.

Others suggested that West Ham surely can’t lose at Goodison Park on Wednesday night, even claiming that the Hammers deserve to be relegated if they don’t win, as fans hope that struggling caretaker Unsworth hasn’t been replaced.
