The Everton midfielder was brilliant against Crystal Palace this afternoon.

Everton put their horror show performance against Arsenal last week behind them with a comfortable win against Crystal Palace at Goodison Park today.
They claimed a 3-1 win in a game that will hopefully have taught Sam Allardyce a thing or two about his strongest team, and one player who should always be in it.
Tom Davies scored in today’s game but that does not tell the whole story of what was a tremendous performance from the midfielder.
Tom Davies of Everton celebrates
The young midfielder has been in and out of the starting line-up this season and fans at the club cannot understand why. He has been one of the club’s more consistent performers this campaign whilst others, namely Morgan Schneiderlin, have simply not been at the races.
He has played in some of Everton’s best results this season and it is no coincidence. A year ago he had just torn apart Pep Guardiola’s Manchester City side but he has not pushed on greatly since that performance, which saw rumblings of an England call-up.

Another reason behind his good form is simply his rawness. A local lad, he seems to have more hunger than some of the failing stars at Everton this campaign.
This performance, where he and Wayne Rooney controlled the pace and tempo of the game, was a joy to watch and he surely deserves to have an extended run of uninterrupted time in the first-team picture.
Everton fans would surely like to see it happen.
