Gabby Agbonlahor says David Moyes’ West Ham United ‘surely wouldn’t’ sell star midfielder, Lucas Paqueta, this summer amid interest from Manchester City.
The 25-year-old joined West Ham United last summer for a healthy transfer fee and ended the season with a Europa League Conference winners medal to his name.
But now, Pep Guardiola’s Manchester City are knocking on the door and Agbonlahor just can’t see how the Hammers will let Lucas Paqueta go, as he told talkSPORT (09/08/23 at 8:55 am).
To think that David Moyes is yet to sign any players this summer, after letting Declan Rice go, was a nightmare scenario.
Well, things have probably just gone from really bad to a lot worse for the East London outfit because this is the last thing the supporters wanted to hear.
When that transfer rumour started doing the rounds, former Aston Villa striker Agbonlahor shared his response.
“What about Paqueta to Manchester City?” asked Agbonlahor. “Surely, they wouldn’t sell him. Surely?!”

What’s even worse for the Hammers is that Paqueta has a ‘desire’ to make that switch to the Etihad, well, who wouldn’t? They are the Treble winners.
But after losing Rice, the main man of the midfield would have been the Brazilian star, now, to think he is going to go is a disaster for the club.
