Ibrox side Glasgow Rangers loaned out Joe Dodoo in August, but could he come back before his loan is scheduled to end?

If Joe Dodoo didn’t know the game was up for him at Charlton, the Rangers hitman surely does now.
The 22-year-old hasn’t kicked a ball in League One for the Addicks since September and it seems entirely possible that the Rangers man – with the Addicks until January – could have his loan at The Valley terminated after manager Karl Robinson found another obstacle for him this week.

Robinson signed another forward in Leon Best on Tuesday and played the 31-year-old in the first XI ahead of Dodoo for last night’s 2-2 draw with Peterborough.
The Gers youngster, taken to Ibrox by Mark Warburton 18 months ago, has now bizarrely been an unused sub in the English club’s last 10 league games and you wonder why they would keep him around until January when it’s clear that he is of no value to them whatsoever.

Dodoo’s only football since September has come in two Checkatrade Trophy games – scoring once – and an FA Cup encounter with National League South side Truro City, failing to score in 71 minutes before being hooked off.
Rangers should definitely have a new manager in place by the time Dodoo returns, whether that is next week or next month, but it seems hugely unlikely that he has a role to play in Glasgow either following his struggles in League One.
He scored five goals in 25 games across all competitions last season.
