Ibrox side Glasgow Rangers are reportedly battling Old Firm rivals Celtic for the 22-year-old.

The Daily Record reported on Wednesday that Celtic and Rangers target Jack Hendry is valued at around £1.5 million.
Dundee have seemingly slapped a seven-figure price-tag on the 22-year-old, who is one of the most highly-rated young defenders in Scotland at the moment.
But if true, then surely Celtic are big favourites to sign him ahead of Rangers.

Rangers are very busy this month but all three of their winter signings so far – Sean Goss, Jamie Murphy and Russell Martin – have arrived on loan.
It indicates that Gers boss Graeme Murty is working with a limited budget, suggestions which have been strengthened by the fact that they only bid £350,000 for Jordan Jones who, in the eyes of his club Kilmarnock, is worth a hell of a lot more.

Celtic, on the other hand, can afford to pay what Dundee are asking and surely Murty doesn’t stand a chance if Hoops boss Brendan Rodgers is genuinely interested.
There isn’t only the financial element, but Hendry would probably prefer to work under a manager with a proven track record of developing and improving young players, rather than Murty who has only been in senior management for a matter of months.
Rangers’ best hope of signing him hinges on whether the Bhoys pursue it. If they do, there’s little that can be done from the Light Blues’ perspective.
