Leeds United were linked with Danny Ings earlier this season.

The Guardian reported on Wednesday that there are as many as four Premier League clubs preparing loan moves for Liverpool hitman Danny Ings, which can’t be good news for Leeds United.
It seemed relatively improbable at the time, but perhaps even more so now after The Guardian claimed that the likes of West Ham, Newcastle, Crystal Palace and Stoke have joined the race.

Signing the former Burnley man would have been a fantastic move, having fired 21 Championship goals in 40 games during the 2013-14 campaign, but there is no reason for him to drop down a division if other top-flight deals are on the table for him and perhaps it’s time that the Whites’ Director of Football Victor Orta moves on to other targets – if he hasn’t already.
Ings or not, Leeds still probably need a striker next month.

Caleb Ekuban has started the past two Championship games and although he brings lot of hard work and enthusiasm, he hasn’t been bringing the goals as of yet.
Pierre-Michel Lasogga, who has five goals and three assists in 10 league outings, should return from illness shortly, but it seems unlikely that United are going to reach the Premier League come May with a rather inconsistent figure like the Hamburg loanee spearheading the attack every week.
Thomas Christiansen’s side are eighth in the Championship, five points off the top six.
