Some Leeds United fans have taken to Twitter to give their reaction to speculation linking Patrick Bamford with Tottenham Hotspur.

According to The Daily Mail, Leeds striker Bamford is among the strikers Spurs are considering as a potential replacement for Harry Kane.

England international striker Kane has reportedly told Tottenham that he wants to leave this summer.

Some Leeds fans are stunned at the report they have read today and are convinced that the transfer is not gong to happen.

Below are some of the best comments on Twitter:

Bamford is having a wonderful season, but it is hard to see Spurs sign the 27-year-old as a replacement for Kane.

True, the Englishman has scored 15 goals and provided seven assists in the Premier League this season, but he is 27 now and this is first time he is actually playing regularly in the English top flight.

The Telegraph claims that Spurs chairman Daniel Levy wants £150 million for Kane.

For that much money, Tottenham can sign a younger striker, such as Erling Haaland (although you could argue that the Borussia Dortmund star would prefer to move to Manchester City or Real Madrid).

However, it must be said that it is a testament to Bamford’s progress under Leeds head coach Marcelo Bielsa that he is being linked with Tottenham.
