Son Heung-min will steal all the headlines for Tottenham Hotspur today for his stunning hat-trick against Leicester City at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, but the performance of Rodrigo Bentancur in the Premier League game cannot be ignored.
It simply cannot be.
Son came on as a substitute in the second half and banged in three goals for Tottenham.
Antonio Conte’s side won 6-2.
Now, Son did not do it all on his own.
The South Korea international forward had help from midfield, especially from Rodrigo Bentancur.
The 25-year-old has established himself as a key figure in Conte’s midfield, and his performance against Leicester at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium was hugely impressive.
The Uruguay international did not make the best of starts against Leicester and did appear to be sloppy at times in the first half.
However, Bentancur stepped up his game in the second period and scored a brilliant goal after winning the ball himself.
The midfielder also set up Son for his second goal.

The media outlet wrote about Bentancur: “Plenty of sloppy moments in the first half but early in the second period won the ball back in midfield from Wilfred Ndidi, ran all the way through and stroked home his first goal for the club. Then set up Son for his second goal to complete a superb second half.”
Tottenham are doing extremely well in the Premier League at the moment, and one of the key players has been Bentancur.
