QPR fans have had their say after recording their first away win of the season on Saturday.
Queens Park Rangers revival continued after they beat Bolton Wanderers 2-1 on Saturday to make it three games without loss in the Championship.
The R’s won it after well-worked goals from Luke Freeman and Ebere Eze, but much of the victory is owed to the fine defensive work that was on display later in the match.
Josh Magennis’ free-kick late on put pressure on QPR, but the players stood firm and held out for the three points, much to the delight of the travelling contingent who were celebrating a long-awaited away win.
The result shows just how far QPR have come – especially since the 7-1 drubbing at West Brom – and although they need to keep grounded, the future on the pitch looks a lot more encouraging.
Boss Steve McClaren has bought in Nahki Wells, Tomer Hemed and Geoff Cameron, and the trio have added the experience necessary to help QPR’s cause.
Fan’s of the west Londoner’s will feel a lot more optimistic, and it appears that McClaren has created a more settled side – going back to a 4-4-2 line-up to benefit Wells and Hemed up front.
QPR’s first away win of the season highlights a team spirit and togetherness that wasn’t evident in the first four games of the season. Much praise goes to the manager who has steadied a rocky ship.
