Tottenham Hotspur maintained their good run of form at the weekend. The North London outfit got the better of Everton 3-2 at home in the Premier League on Sunday afternoon.
Spurs took the lead as early as the 20th minute when Harry Kane found the net. The England international striker made it 2-0 to the home team 11 minutes into the second half.
Romelu Lukaku halved the deficit for Everton in the 81st minute, but Dele Alli restored Spurs’ two-goal advantage in the second minute of injury time.
Although West Ham United-owned Enner Valencia scored for Everton just a minute later, it proved to be nothing more than a consolation, as Spurs won 3-2.
Former Chelsea striker Chris Sutton was following the match, and he was impressed with the performances of striker Kane and midfielder Alli.
Over the course of the 90 minutes at White Hart Lane on Sunday afternoon, hosts Tottenham had 52% of the possession, took 20 shots of which seven were on target, and earned seven corners, according to BBC Sport.
