Ian Wright has suggested to UMM that Arsenal have five players in their squad who can reach the very top of the game right now.

Flourishing talent

Mikel Arteta’s young Arsenal side have begun to prove their quality in recent weeks, with momentum really building at the Emirates Stadium now.

After a shaky start to the campaign, Arsenal have begun to impress – with Arteta’s squad all seemingly starting to buy into the manager’s principles.

And Wright is enthused about the future of the North London club, especially as they have so much talent breaking through.

“He’s the present as well, we need him, we need him so much,” Wright said about Bukayo Saka.

“That’s why when I said he’s burdened with glorious purpose you know, because we’re talking about someone who’s come through the academy. Everybody knew what he was capable of when he was a youngster.

“He’s come through, he’s answered all the questions, he’s got himself into England, he’s arguably our best player.

“We need him (Saka), obviously Emille Smith Rowe coming through, Odegaard, Ben White you know, Sami Lakonga. We’ve got a lot of players now with a high ceiling. And if they can reach their potential, we’ve got some super players bro.”

Jewels in the crown

Saka and Smith Rowe are arguably the jewels in Arsenal’s crown right now.

The academy graduates have progressed through Hale End to become key first-team stars.

Smith Rowe appears to have started to add goals to his game, while Saka made his 100th appearance for the club in their 2-0 win over Leicester City at the weekend.

Arsenal’s progression has rapidly seen them climb up the Premier League table with optimism rising about where they could finish this season.

The Gunners are currently in sixth place in the Premier League table, just three points outside the top four.
