Sunderland midfielder Wahbi Khazri is at the World Cup with Tunisia.

The 27-year-old, who is playing for Tunisia at the World Cup in Russia, spent the 2017-18 campaign on loan at Rennes in France.
The Black Cats will play in League One next season after getting relegated from the Championship.

Khazri has been on the books of Sunderland since January 2016 when he joined from French side Bordeaux for a transfer fee reported by The Daily Mail to be worth £12 million.
The former Bastia star has suggested that he wants to carry on playing in England next season.

Khazri told The Daily Mail: “It’s not easy for a Tunisian to play in the Premier League, so I feel privileged because of the opportunity I’ve had.
“Now I am focused only on the World Cup, but I would like to continue playing in English football if I can. We’ll see. I will be open to all ideas and listen to everything.”

Blow for AS Roma?
According to The Chronicle, AS Roma are among a number of clubs interested in securing the services of the Tunisia international in the summer transfer window.
Eusebio Di Francesco’s side finished third in Serie A last season and have earned an automatic spot in the Champions League group stage for the 2018-19 campaign.
Khazri’s comments about playing in the Premier League next season could be a blow to Roma in their (reported) quest to sign Khazri.
