Wahbi Khazri says his plan for the time being is to return to Sunderland after the World Cup.

Wahbi Khazri believes he will have a number of options to consider in the coming weeks but will for now return to parent club Sunderland.
Following their relegation to the third tier of English football, the Black Cats are desperate to continue to offload the highest earners in their squad as they continue to plan their League One rebuild.
Jeremain Lens’ permanent move to Besiktas has already been agreed while last week Fabio Borini’s agent confirmed the versatile forward is now poised to sign a permanent deal with AC Milan following his loan spell at the Rossoneri. Those deals will reportedly bring in £6million and £5million respectively.

Sunderland are hoping to get a similar fee for Khazri, who impressed on his return to France this year, scoring nine goals in 23 starting appearances for Rennes during the 2017-18 season.
Khazri is now ready to join up with the Tunisia squad ahead of their 2018 World Cup campaign in Russia but is unsure where his future lies beyond that.
“I will not say that I will stay. If there are other offers, I have to study them,” Khazri said, the Sunderland Echo report.
“But it is true that I am not against staying at Rennes with this coach and this team, but I am open to anything.
“At the moment, I have not received anything so I will be back at my club.”
