Neil Lennon’s Celtic and Jack Ross’s Sunderland are reportedly interested in Lawrence Shankland.

It has been reported that Sunderland hope that playing regular first-team football at the Stadium of Light will convince Shankland to snub Celtic.
The 23-year-old, who is leaving Ayr United this summer, would struggle to establish himself as a regular in Neil Lennon’s starting lineup.
Sunderland or Celtic?
Sunderland are a big club, but the Black Cats are in League One at the moment – the third tier in English football.
While Shankland would get to play more games at the Stadium of Light than he would at Celtic Park, the striker would be challenging for trophies at the Hoops and could even play in the Champions League.

Moreover, one could argue that Scottish Premiership giants Celtic are a bigger club than Sunderland.
According to BBC Sport, Shankland scored 24 goals and provided four assists for Ayr in the Scottish Championship this season.
