Aston Villa are interested in taking Lewis Grabban from Bournemouth after his fine form on loan at Sunderland.

Every day in the January transfer window may feel like a week to Sunderland supporters. Because reports suggesting they could lose talismanic striker Lewis Grabban just aren’t going away.
Parent club Bournemouth inserted a clause into the Black Cats loanee’s contract allowing them to re-call him in January – something manager Chris Coleman admitted himself recently, as reported by the Birmingham Mail.
And after TEAMtalk linked Wolves and Fulham with a permanent move for Grabban in January, The Sun (10th December, page 65) has stated that Aston Villa are also interested in signing the 29-year-old.

Financial Fair Play restrictions state that Villa are likely to need to strike an initial loan deal before signing the striker on a permanent basis in the summer, meaning any deal is far from certain.
But if Villa can tempt Bournemouth into agreeing a deal, they could be pulling off one of the most perfect signings across the entire 2017/18 season.
Villa need attacking reinforcements after all with strikers Jonathan Kodjia and Scott Hogan on the sidelines. And Grabban, who was promoted with Norwich City back in 2015, is in red-hot form this season with 11 strikes in 17 games for an otherwise toothless Sunderland side.

The former Bournemouth striker could be the ideal solution for a Villa side who appear to be one prolific striker away from emerging as genuine favourites for promotion in the second half of this season.
So needless to say they would be pulling off a rather inspired coup by landing him on loan.
