The Sunderland man has wished his old Celtic mate the best of luck.

Eoghan O’Connell’s stint at Celtic has come to an end.
The 21-year-old centre-back joined League One outfit Bury on Thursday after spending the last six years with the Scottish champions.
Despite being there so long, the Irishman only managed 13 senior appearances for Celtic and has moved South of the border in search of regular first-team football.

O’Connell was on the books at Parkhead at the same time as Sunderland defender Adam Matthews, who left Glasgow for the then-Premier League side two years ago.
And the 25-year-old has taken to Twitter to wish his former team-mate the best of luck on his new adventure.

O’Connell figured in a number of Celtic’s early-season games last term, including a friendly with Barcelona and their Champions League qualifiers, but struggled to break into the first team regularly afterwards and was subsequently loaned to Walsall in January.
He started 17 League One matches for the Saddlers, scoring once.
