Sunderland are said to be lining up a triple swoop for three new strikers.

Billy Sharp, Mo Eisa and Charlie Wyke would be the best strike force in League One, if Sunderland can bring them all to the Stadium of Light this summer.

The Northern Echo suggest that both Eisa and Wyke are close to moving to Wearside, with Jack Ross keen on the pair.

The Sunderland Echo also claims that Sheffield United’s Sharp is on Sunderland’s wishlist, as the Black Cats look to strengthen their attacking options.

And if Sunderland could bring in all three of the strikers then Ross would have a strike force which would be the envy of every other manager in the third tier.

Sharp is a prolific scorer in League One, and would arrive as one of the top finishers in the division.

Wyke, meanwhile, would provide Sunderland with aerial presence and power up-front, while Eisa has pace to burn.

It seems highly unlikely that Ross would use them all in tandem, but having to pick between two of the three would be a great dilemma for any League One manager to have.

And if Sunderland pull off the triple swoop then it would not be a lack of firepower which stops them earning promotion.
