Callum McManaman has made an impressive start to his Sunderland career since signing from West Bromwich Albion.

McManaman joined Sunderland from West Bromwich Albion during the summer transfer window, and he has made a promising start at the Stadium of Light.
The winger has contributed two assists, including setting up James Vaughan’s goal for Sunderland against Hull City in Simon Grayson’s side’s most recent match.

And McManaman feels that he is only set to get better, as his fitness levels improve with more game time.
“It has been decent but I want to score more goals,” he said.
“I’m still not fully fit but I feel like I am getting there and when I can get one goal I can get a few.”
It has been a long time since McManaman showed the best of his ability, as the forward has struggled since moving to West Brom back in 2015.

McManaman has never been able to nail down a place in Albion’s first team, and he struggled on loan at Sheffield Wednesday last term.
The winger’s promising start to life at Sunderland is a source for optimism though, and he could have an important role to play for Grayson’s side.
Sunderland have been in disappointing form over the Championship season to date, and currently sit in 21st place.
