Wilfried Bony (Manchester City)

While Van Persie may not cost Sunderland too much in terms of transfer fee, they would have to commit a sizeable amount of wages to convince him to move to the Stadium of Light.
Van Persie is unlikely to move for cheap – but his arrival on Wearside would certainly be a signal of intent.
