David Moyes and his struggling Sunderland side host Tony Pulis’ West Bromwich Albion at the Stadium of Light on Saturday.
The Black Cats have endured a disappointing start to the season, managing to pick up just one win from their first six games and sitting bottom of the table.
In contrast, West Brom have picked up in recently and sit in tenth place in the table with eight points from their first six games.
Both are heavily reliant on their forwards, with Sunderland dependent upon Jermain Defoe and the Baggies aiming to feed Salomon Rondon.
They are likely to play a big part in whichever sides comes away with all three points in this game, so who has had the better start to the season so far? We took a look.

And as it transpires it is Defoe who came out on top in five of the eight areas looked at.
So far he has managed more shots per game, more shots on target per game and a better shooting accuracy than Rondon.
That sees him on top when it comes to goals scored, with a tally of four compared to the West Brom striker’s three.

Not to be totally outdone, though, Rondon has played more key passes per game, more accurate passes and registered an assist, something Defoe it yet to do.
The Sunderland man comes out on top when it comes to passing accuracy, though, with a tally of 81% compared to 66%.
A win for Defoe then and Sunderland will be hoping it is the same on Saturday as they look to secure their first three points of the season.
