Sunderland star Paddy McNair has been linked with moves away.
Paddy McNair is one of the best players at Sunderland, and there is no surprise that the former Manchester United youngster has been linked with Derby County and Norwich City among other clubs.
According to The Mirror (Transfer Live blog, 14:55, Friday, June 1, 2018), Derby County, Norwich and Stoke City are interested in signing McNair from Sunderland in the summer transfer window (click here to read more).
Brighton and Hove Albion have had two bids turned down by Sunderland for McNair, according to Sky Sports, who also claim that the Black Cats value the 23-year-old upwards of £4 million.
The Northern Ireland international, who can operate as a defender or as a midfielder, has suggested that he would like to play in the Premier League next season.
The Derby Telegraph quoted McNair as saying while on international duty with Northern Ireland: “If I can get back to the Premier League, that would be great, but I just want to concentrate on these Northern Ireland games and look at that afterwards.”
Advantage Brighton and Hove Albion?
Derby, Norwich and Stoke are massive clubs, but the trio all will play in the Championship next season.
This means that Brighton are perhaps the favourites, with the Seagulls having retained their Premier League status for the 2018-19 campaign.
