Sunderland have signed Jerome Sinclair on loan from Watford for the season.
Sunderland should terminate Jerome Sinclair’s loan in January and send him back to Watford.
Sinclair was brought to the Black Cats in the summer, but it is fair to say that the transfer has not worked out as anyone at the Stadium of Light would have hoped.
Sinclair has hit just two goals in 17 appearances for Jack Ross’ side and his performance last night was poor again.
The Watford loanee was jeered off by some supporters at the Stadium of Light, as Sunderland lost 1-0 to Walsall in the FA Cup.
And it may be that Sinclair’s relationship with Sunderland fans is now irreparable.
Black Cats supporters seem to have totally lost patience in him, and it may be best for Ross to cut his losses with the forward now.
With Duncan Watmore coming back to fitness, Sunderland’s forward options are only growing stronger.
Sunderland could, therefore, send Sinclair back and look at getting another loan striker in for the second half of the season, who is able to score more prolifically.
And if the Black Cats could find a more clinical finisher than Sinclair to add to their squad that would only benefit their promotion chances.
