Sunderland reportedly have work to do if they want to sign Josh Koroma.
The Black Cats are looking to replace Josh Maja following his move to Bordeaux earlier in the window, and Koroma appears to be one player that Jack Ross has his eye on.
The Daily Mirror reports on their live transfer blog (31/1) that the League One high-flyers have offered Orient £200,000 up front as well as add-ons for the 20-year-old, but that bid has been turned down by the National League side.
The report adds that both Rotherham United and Charlton Athletic want the youngster, so it will be interesting to see whether the interest in him tempts Sunderland to make a significantly improved offer in the final hours of the window.
Koroma has scored nine goals in the league this term, so he is arguably showing the kind of form that hints that he could be an exciting signing for the Black Cats as they look to make their stay in the third tier as brief as possible.
But they are going to have to improve their offer if they do want Koroma to be the man to replace Maja following his exit this month.
