Denver Hume has signed a new contract with Jack Ross’s Sunderland.
Sunderland owner Stewart Donald has responded to Denver Hume’s post on Twitter after he signed a new contract with the Black Cats.
As announced on Sunderland’s official website, Hume has put pen to paper on a new two-year contract with the Black Cats and will stay at the Stadium of Light until 2021.
The 20-year-old left-back came through the ranks at the Black Cats and has a bright future ahead of him.
The Englishman has made five starts and two substitute appearances in League One for Sunderland this season, according to WhoScored.
Hume has taken to Twitter to express his delight at signing a new contract with Sunderland, with club owner Donald responding to his message.
Promotion challenge
Sunderland are aiming to clinch promotion to the Championship, but it does seem that Jack Ross’s side will have to do it via the playoffs.
The Black Cats are fourth in the League One table at the moment with 84 points from 43 matches, four points behind second-placed Barnsley, who have played 44 games.
