Sunderland owner Donald has given an update on the current situation on Maja on Twitter.

Leaving Sunderland
If Maja is not willing to sign a new contract, then from a business point of view it does make sense for Sunderland to sell the forward in the January transfer window.
However, the 20-year-old is a key figure in Ross’s team, and the Black Cats will be losing a quality footballer if he leaves.
The young forward has scored 14 goals in 21 League One starts for Sunderland so far this season, according to WhoScored.
