Sunderland need to bolster their midfield area. The Black Cats must consider making loan move for the Swansea midfielder.
With Sunderland languishing at rock bottom in the Championship, Chris Coleman is ready to delve into the transfer market to sign at least four or five new players.
At the same time, the former Wales manager doesn’t have enough funds to operate in the market. So, he will have to depend on the loan market, and add the right profile of players who can help the club to get out of the relegation dog-fight.
The midfield is one area where Coleman needs reinforcement at the earliest. The likes of Lee Cattermole, Darron Gibson and Jonny Williams are currently injured. Didier Ndong is also missing with an ankle problem, while Jack Rodwell is perennially injured and fails to string any significant run of games together.
Paddy McNair has recently worked his way back to full fitness, so Coleman should be looking to add a central midfielder in January. With this mind, the Black Cats should move for Jay Fulton, who could be on the move away from Swansea this month.
The 23-year-old joined Swansea in 2014 from Falkrik and has made 26 appearances for the Wales club in all competitions till date. He can play as a defensive midfielder and could bring his Premier League experience into the Championship club.
This season he has made only two substitute appearances for the club, and according to Wales Online, he could be on the move in January. He would be a fantastic signing for the Black Cats, but they need to act quickly.
