Sebastian Larsson is yet to make an appearance for Sunderland this season, due to injury.
Sebastian Larsson has told the Chronicle that he does not want to see David Moyes sacked as Sunderland manager.
Sunderland have made a disastrous start to the new campaign, after failing to win any of their first 10 league matches.
The Black Cats are sat at the bottom of the Premier League table, and they are already seven points adrift of safety.
Reports now suggest that Moyes could be in danger of losing his job if Sunderland’s poor results continue.
However, Larsson insists that the players do not want the Scottish boss to leave the Stadium of Light – as they are fed up of having different managers.
“If you’re asking me do I want the manager to stay, then the answer would be yes, without a doubt,” Larsson said.
“To be brutally honest, I would be embarrassed if another manager had to go during my time here.
“It’s happened far too often, and we need to sort this out with the group we’ve got now. That’s the bottom line.”
Sunderland have sacked a succession of managers midway through the season, and seen their successors complete remarkable turnarounds.
The likes of Gus Poyet, Paolo Di Canio, Dick Advocaat and Sam Allardyce have all kept Sunderland in the league – after taking over following a poor start from their predecessor.
Sunderland’s previous success after sacking their manager, makes Moyes’ position look even more precarious, with the pressure mounting by the game.
Sunderland are next in action at the weekend, when they take on Bournemouth at Dean Court.
