Sunderland, Middlesbrough and Preston North End are reportedly interested in signing Aiden McGeady from Everton in the summer transfer window.
Aiden McGeady has been on the books of Everton since 2014 and has a contract with the Toffees until June 2018, according to Transfermarkt.co.uk, but it seems that his time at Goodison Park is coming to an end.
The Republic of Ireland international winger spent the 2016-17 season on loan at Championship club Preston North End.
Prior to his loan spell at Preston, the 31-year-old had a similar temporary spell at Sheffield Wednesday in the second tier of English football.

The Irish Independent claimed of Middlesbrough’s interest in the winger last month, and now another Championship club have seemingly joined the race.
Sunderland have just appointed Simon Grayson as their manager. Grayson worked with McGeady at Preston last season.
“With Preston also still interested, the price could rise slightly from the £2 million valuation initially given to McGeady, but it shouldn’t rise too much that the Black Cats can’t afford to compete,” states the report in The Chronicle.
Everton are the clear winners in this transfer race. After all, with as many as three clubs (reportedly) interested in McGeady, the Merseyside outfit can just wait for the highest transfer fee possible.
