Sunderland finally got Didier N’Dong off their books today.

Sunderland have just cleared the way for a big January transfer window following the release of Didier N’Dong.
Sunderland have now offloaded both N’Dong and Papy Djilobodji in recent months, to reduce their wage budget.
The Black Cats would have liked to have got rid of the pair much sooner, but Sunderland have finally released them both now.
And that can only be good news for Jack Ross’ side’s plans in the January transfer window.

With N’Dong and Djilobodji off the wage bill, Sunderland now have room to move with Financial Fair Play.
Sunderland’s monthly expenditure will have been significantly reduced without two of their top earners on the books.
And the Black Cats may well be able to strengthen again in January now, which should only make them stronger over the second half of the season, as they aim for promotion.
