Sunderland have been linked with St. Mirren midfielder Kyle Magennis, who is reportedly rated by manager Jack Ross more than Celtic winger Lewis Morgan.

Ross has been appointed the manager of League One outfit Sunderland in England, and the 41-year-old reportedly wants to bring Magennis from his former club St. Mirren.
The Express has claimed that the 19-year-old midfielder is valued at close to £1 million, and that a number of English clubs have monitored the teenager in recent months.
“Ross rated the teenager as the most exciting of his Paisley starlets, ahead even of Lewis Morgan, who won a move to Celtic and is in the current Scotland squad,” adds the report in The Express.

Good signing for Sunderland?
Magennis has established himself as an important player for St. Mirren and was key to them winning promotion from the Scottish Championship to the Scottish Premiership.
The Scottish midfielder would be a good long-term signing for Sunderland, who will be aiming to bounce back from League One straightaway.

Ross worked with the 19-year-old at St. Mirren, and he would know all about him, and given that he (reportedly) rates him more than Lewis Morgan.
The 21-year-old winger joined Celtic from St. Mirren in the January transfer window for a fee reported by BBC Sport to be worth £300,000 and was loaned back to the Buddies for the remainder of the season.
