Sheffield United may be planning to send Daniel Jebbison out on loan next season to Sunderland but don’t think for one second that means the teenage striker isn’t part of Slavisa Jokanovic’s plans at Bramall Lane.
Far from it.
According to The Star, Jokanovic believes 12 months at Sunderland could be the making of a player who has left coaching staff stunned by his performances in pre-season training.
And you can understand why he may have come to such a conclusion.
After all, it’s only two months since Jebbison became the youngest player to score on his full Premier League debut, a well-taken winner at Everton.
The 6ft 3in Canadian, who has represented England at U18 level, was also linked with Arsenal, Liverpool, Manchester United, Bayern Munich and Borussia Dortmund as recently as May.

Should he end up at the Stadium of Light rather than Stamford Bridge, Anfield or the Allianz Arena, it’s hard to imagine Lee Johnson won’t have played a substantial role in what could be one of the deals of the summer.
The Black Cats boss is a fine developer of young talent, a fact many at Bristol City would attest to. The likes of Kenton Richardson, Ollie Younger and Anthony Patterson have made huge strides under Johnson in recent weeks too, thrust into the limelight at a side looking to finally break free of its League One shackles.
Jebbison has already watched Sunderland play
According to The Athletic, Jebbison was present at the Stadium of Light as Sunderland beat Hull City in a pre-season friendly on Friday. When the competitive action gets under way next weekend, Jebbison could be playing for Sunderland rather than just watching them from the Stadium of Light directors’ box.
And Jokanovic isn’t the only one who thinks Jebbison could take League One by storm.
