Steve McClaren is among those being credited with an interest in the Sunderland vacancy.

Sunderland fans are reacting to reports linking Steve McClaren with the Stadium of Light managerial vacancy.
According to the Northern Echo, McClaren, who has already managed Sunderland’s north-east rivals Newcastle United and Middlesbrough, has been in touch with the Mackems.
The 58-year-old is a former assistant to Alex Ferguson at Manchester United, and experienced some success after going it alone at Middlesbrough, FC Twente and Derby County.
But a disastrous spell in charge of the England national team did significant damaged to McClaren’s reputation, which has not been helped by further difficult ones at Wolfsburg, Twente (again), Nottingham Forest, Newcastle and QPR.
Even without those Newcastle and Middlesbrough links, it is hard to imagine too many of a Sunderland persuasion being on board with his appointment as successor to Jack Ross.

And some have gone straight to the Mackems owner, Stewart Donald, regarding the matter…
Sunderland fans – which of those linked with Ross’s job would you like to see take charge of the Mackems?
