Sunderland midfielder Lee Cattermole has been linked with a move to Sheffield Wednesday.

Sunderland fans think that Dylan McGeouch’s inclusion on their retained list is a sign that Lee Cattermole will be leaving this summer, amid links with Sheffield Wednesday.
Cattermole is one of the Black Cats’ highest earners and their failure to earn promotion last term means that Jack Ross could be forced to take cost cutting measures.
And Sunderland fans feel that McGeouch being offered the chance to stay suggests that Cattermole could be close to moving to Hillsborough.
Ross didn’t play McGeouch at all regularly at Sunderland last season, with other options favoured.
The Scottish boss tended to play Max Power, Cattermole and Grant Leadbitter all ahead of McGeouch.
When McGeouch was offered chances, he did occasionally impress at Sunderland, with his passing ability above the level of many of his teammates.
If Cattermole does leave Sunderland this summer it will bring to an end his 10 year stay at the Stadium of Light.
