Sunderland remain in the Championship relegation zone after they suffered a 2-0 home defeat on Saturday.

Sunderland fans have slammed Billy Jones after his performance in the Black Cats’ Championship clash with Brentford which leaves Chris Coleman’s men in the bottom three in the second tier.
Having suffered two defeats in their last three, Coleman may have felt that a clash with a Bees side that had not won any of their previous three games either may have been a good opportunity for Sunderland to get a rare win.

However, it was Brentford who ended their wait for a victory as they scored twice inside the first half-hour to essentially kill the game off as a contest before it had barely got going.
A number of Coleman’s squad underwhelmed in the defeat – all of the team except Joel Asoro perhaps – but Jones seemed to be the player who disappointed the fans the most at the Stadium of Light.

Like many of his teammates, the 30-year-old has not enjoyed a particularly good season and the Black Cats fans cannot understand why Coleman tries to persevere with the full-back.
Sunderland now face an absolutely vital game in midweek as they take on fellow strugglers Bolton Wanderers at the Macron Stadium, and it seems that many supporters are hoping that Jones will not be in the side for that game.
