Newcastle United defender Paul Dummett has taken a cheeky dig at Sunderland on Twitter.

Dummett has mocked Sunderland following the release of ‘Sunderland ‘Til I Die’, a documentary on Netflix following the Black Cats over the course of the 2017-18 season.

The Black Cats got relegated from the Premier League to the Championship at the end of the 2016-17 campaign.

Sunderland were expected by many to bounce straight back up, but the Black Cats ended up going down to League One at the end of the 2017-18 season.

As for Newcastle, Rafael Benitez’s side are playing in the Premier League at the moment, but the Magpies could find themselves in the Championship next season.

Sunderland are now aiming to clinch automatic promotion from League One to the Championship at the end of the 2018-19 season.
