Sunderland fans have taken to Twitter to give their reaction to the performance of Will Grigg against Coventry City.
Grigg was in action for Sunderland in their League One match against Coventry at the Stadium of Light on Saturday afternoon.
The 27-year-old striker started the match and played for 64 minutes, as Jack Ross’s side lost 5-4.
The Northern Ireland international striker scored in first-half injury time and also linked up with his teammates, but some Sunderland fans were not impressed with his overall performance, as shown in the posts on Twitter below.
Over the course of the 90 minutes at the Stadium of Light on Saturday afternoon, hosts Sunderland had 50% of the possession, took 12 shots of which seven were on target, and earned one corner, according to BBC Sport.
The defeat to Coventry means that the Black Cats are third in the League One table at the moment with 80 points from 41 matches, two points behind second-placed Barnsley, who have played 42 games.
So far this season, Grigg has scored four goals in 13 League One appearances for Sunderland, according to WhoScored.
